At the MOME Doctoral School, she connects her academic work with her civic engagement through her research, “Home away from home – The role of participatory design processes in addressing the trauma of forced migration and loss of place.” Her research explores design processes as a complementary tool in trauma therapy. In 2021, she was awarded a 30-month doctoral scholarship under the Cooperative Doctoral Programme of Hungary’s National Research, Development and Innovation Office. She has presented her developing methodology at international conferences in Belgium, England, France and Austria.
Bözse currently works as a researcher at the Social Design Hub, contributing to socially engaged research projects including Urban Placemaking for Safe School Zones, the Social Design Field Lab and Change Agents. She also teaches research, development and innovation (RDI) and design methodology courses at the Institute of Architecture, where her primary motivation is to introduce participatory and human-centred design me
