Amna Qureshi

Bio

Amna Qureshi (PhD) is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Arctic Six Fellow (2025–2026) at the University of Lapland, Finland. Her research explores how creative practices, visual methods, and arts-based approaches can support dialogue, participation, and social change. Her PhD research examined visual design thinking through visual literacy, and her work has since developed into a multidisciplinary practice bringing together design, visual culture, digital media, and arts-based research. Her current work focuses on how creative practices and material exploration can contribute to more inclusive and sustainable futures. Qureshi’s work is grounded in participatory approaches and explores how design and creative practice can engage diverse forms of knowledge and experience to address social and environmental challenges.
