Bio
Alexander Müller-Rakow is a designer and professor specialising in interaction design, digital health, educational technologies, and public design — working at the intersection of technology, education, and societal transformation.
At HTW Berlin, where he has been Professor of Interaction Design since 2017, he teaches practice-oriented courses in human-computer interaction, UX design, digital health, and educational technologies, combining human-centred and systemic design methods with experimental interfaces.
He gained research and practical experience as research lead at the Telekom Laboratories and the Design Research Lab at UdK Berlin, working on digital health and educational technologies. Since 2019, he has also been co-founder and co-managing director of KITE Design Research GmbH, where he is responsible for strategic development and oversees projects in the public realm. At HTW Berlin, he is also co-founder and initiator of the Master's programme "Public Design".
His research focuses on human-computer interaction, digital health, and design education. He is also active in organising and contributing to international conferences and networks.
