Michal is a designer, researcher, and educator based in Tel Aviv, Israel. A senior faculty member at the School of Visual Communication at Shenkar and a joint founding director of the Post Anthropocentric Design Laboratory. Michal’s work critically explores the interplay among emotional and physical well-being, societal relationships, and environmental changes. As a visual communication designer and educator, she is committed to develop and facilitate tools and experiences to making complex information accessible to diverse audiences. One of her ongoing projects, 'The Narrative Health Record,' examines the art of medical documentation, intersecting the realms of design and narrative medicine to highlight the crucial role of situated knowledges and their vital role in care-related encounters. This research was recognized with the Sandberg Grant for Research and Development in Design and Architecture in 2020, awarded by the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. Michal is currently academic head of the Center for Teaching Excellence at Shenkar, where she initiates and leads strategies that merge design, pedagogy, and technology. Her approach is deeply interdisciplinary, building new creative dialogues between the design, art, and engineering faculties.
