Christina’s social design work centers around analyzing how design can impact the social, democratic and ecological aspects of our lives. Questioning the designer’s role in today’s society, values and politics Christina’s main research interest lies in the field of education. Currently, the whole educational system is facing enormous transformative challenges. When design addresses those with a more participative approach, interesting insights can be discovered. Christina Strenger's work combines materiality, mediality, graphics and typography in a conceptual interplay. As a professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg, Germany, she is teaching the MA program in Transformation Design as well as Visual Communication courses (BA).
